# BALAY > A daily companion for adults with ADHD. Check in with your energy, see the tasks that fit it, and bank the small wins. Free plan, on iPhone and Android. ## What it is A daily companion for adults with ADHD that plans around the energy you actually have, rather than the capacity a generic planner assumes. BALAY asks how you are, then shows you the tasks that fit. On a flat day, resting counts. On a good one, it stays out of the way. BALAY is on iPhone, iOS 17 and later, and on Android, 8.0 and later. Health Connect, home screen widgets and cycle tracking are coming to Android in later updates; for now those three are on iPhone. ## Who it is for Adults who have tried the ordinary planners and stopped. - However you got here: Diagnosed, self-identified, or waiting on an assessment. Nothing asks you to prove anything, and nothing changes depending on your answer. - On the days that go wrong: A plan collapsing at eleven o'clock is the normal case rather than the exception, so there is somewhere to go when it happens instead of a list quietly turning red. - Without a wearable: You know how you are better than a wrist sensor does. Apple Health on iPhone, or Health Connect on Android when it lands, can add context if you want it, and everything works without it. ## The five energy states Flat, Foggy, Steady, Charged and Manic. Named rather than numbered, because a number invites you to score yourself and a name invites you to recognise yourself. A check-in is two taps. - Flat: Resting counts today. Two small things is a full day. - Foggy: Short, clear jobs first. The heavy ones can wait. - Steady: A good window for the thing you've been circling. - Charged: Plenty in the tank. Pick one big thing and protect it. - Manic: Lots of energy, not much steering. One thing at a time. ## Plans Prices in GBP. Subscriptions run through the App Store or Google Play, and you can cancel at any time. - Free at £0 for good: Up to two tasks at a time, plus energy check-ins, your daily score, My Day, habits, breathing and brain dump. One Sumi conversation and one planning session are included. - Plus at £7.99 a month, or £79.99 a year, which works out at £6.67 a month: Everyday support. Sumi to talk things through, as many tasks as you need, big tasks broken into small steps, tasks pulled from your messages, and home screen widgets on iPhone. - Ultimate at £14.99 a month, or £149.99 a year, which works out at £12.50 a month: Everything in Plus, and BALAY runs the day with you: Sumi plans your day, brain dumps sorted into next steps, health insights and the energy lens on My Day, and priority support. ## Frequently asked questions ### What is BALAY, in one sentence? A daily companion for adults with ADHD that plans around the energy you actually have, rather than the capacity a generic planner assumes. ### How is this different from a normal to-do app? A normal to-do list sorts by date. BALAY sorts by the energy a task takes, and asks you how you are before it decides what to show you. ### Do I need a diagnosis to use it? No diagnosis needed. BALAY is designed for ADHD brains, and plenty of people who use it are self-identified or waiting on an assessment. Nothing asks you to prove anything. ### Do I need a watch, Apple Health or Health Connect? No wearable needed. Everything works on what you log in the app. Connecting Apple Health on iPhone, or Health Connect on Android once it arrives, adds context from sleep, steps, exercise, and heart rate variability if you want it, and you can turn it off again at any point. ### Can my score go down? Your score only ever rises during the day. Skipping something never subtracts, it simply doesn’t add. Tomorrow starts fresh. ### Why did resting raise my score? Because on a low-energy day, rest is the action that matches. Research suggests people with ADHD do their best work when activity fits their current energy, so when your energy is low, looking after yourself counts for more than pushing through. ### What if the score doesn’t match how I feel? Your feeling is the truth. The score reflects what was logged, and it never overrides your own read on your day. ### What is Sumi? The conversational companion inside BALAY. Sumi is an AI companion, not a clinician, and holds what you’ve shared before, so conversations build rather than reset. ### Does BALAY track my cycle? Cycle tracking is optional and off by default. On iPhone it reads your period days from Apple Health, or you log them in the app, and works out your phase on your device. Android follows through Health Connect. Leave it off and nothing else changes. ### Will it send me notifications all day? Notifications are deliberately sparse, and there’s a single switch to turn them off entirely. ### What happens to my data? Your data is stored securely in the EU and handled in line with our privacy policy. You can export or delete it whenever you like. ### Is BALAY a medical app? BALAY is a wellness app, not a medical one. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, or measure any condition. For anything health-related, please speak to a professional. ### Is there an Android version? BALAY is on iPhone, iOS 17 and later, and on Android, 8.0 and later. Health Connect, home screen widgets and cycle tracking are coming to Android in later updates; for now those three are on iPhone. ### What does the Free plan actually include? Energy check-ins and your energy map, your daily score, My Day, habits, brain dump and breathing, with up to two active tasks at a time. One Sumi conversation and one planning session are included as well, with no time limit on them. ### What are the five energy states? Flat, Foggy, Steady, Charged and Manic. Named rather than numbered, because a number invites you to score yourself and a name invites you to recognise yourself. A check-in is two taps. ### What is the difference between Plus and Ultimate? Plus is everyday support: Sumi to talk things through, unlimited tasks, task breakdown, tasks pulled from your messages, and widgets. Ultimate adds the layer that runs the day with you: Sumi planning sessions, brain dumps sorted into next steps, health insights with your score breakdown, the energy lens on My Day, and priority support. ### Can I pay yearly? Both paid plans come monthly or yearly. Plus is £79.99 a year and Ultimate is £149.99 a year, which works out at £6.67 and £12.50 a month. The App Store shows the price for your region and handles the billing. ### How do I cancel? Through the store you bought it from, at any time. On iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then BALAY. On Android: the Play Store app, then your profile, then Payments and subscriptions. ## Pages - [BALAY: daily planner and companion for ADHD brains](https://www.balay.tech/): A daily companion for adults with ADHD.
